Harmony Sinfonia is a vibrant local symphony orchestra providing music to the community. On Saturday 14th November we’re performing the next in our concert series:
Harmony Sinfonia Presents ‘Musical Isles’
The concert is a celebration of music from around the British Isles. We’ll be playing Amy Beach’s Gaelic Symphony, Tintagel by Arnold Bax, The Land of the Mountain and the Flood by Hamish MacCunn, and Four Welsh Dances by Malcolm Arnold. In the first half, we hear a teenager’s confident celebration of Scotland, four short movements evoking Wales, and visit the windswept Cornish coast, before Beach’s lyrical symphony regales us with Irish melodies.
Tickets are £15 full price and £10 concessions. Under-18s can come for free and don’t require a ticket – there’ll be reserved rows at the front for kids with adults. The 6pm concert start time makes it excellent for families interested in live music. Refreshments will be available during the interval, and we finish around 8pm. Our concerts are at the beautiful

We’d like to meet a local business or philanthropist that shares our desire to champion music from more modern and diverse composers, including film music, to audiences in Blackheath and Lewisham. Performing this repertoire is usually out of reach for us, due to high music-hire prices.

Harmony Sinfonia is a wonderful local orchestra, based in south-east London, and we're looking for new players! 🎺 trumpets, 🎻 Violins, violas, cellos and double basses, we're especially keen to have you along.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at the beautiful St. Margaret's Church, Blackheath, SE13 5DL – car parking available and good transport links from Lewisham and Blackheath.
